Another Writers Website
I was thinking the internet needed a new one.
Welcome to That Faint Creative Spark. A brand new site from the author Lee Culloty. Things will be up and running here shortly, but you can subscribe in the meantime if you'd like to stay up to date and receive emails when new content is published, or just pop back in when you feel like it.
I am planning on using this as a hub, the focal point of my web presence, where I will focus most of my attention—when I am not writing, of course. As mad as it may seem to everyone, I am relatively new to the internet. I flirted with social media about twenty years ago but never liked it. I could have happily stayed an internet hermit, happy to live on the fringes of interconnectivity and been blissfully unaware of the latest meme or what my auntie ate for breakfast.
So what has changed? In a word, success.
That might be a grandiose term for having a few short stories published. But, for me, it is an ambition reached. I see it as a success. I have a couple of my stories out there, with my name credited as the author. I have a new bank account which has some actual money in it, paid by publishers. It's not enough to declare to HMRC yet, but it's still a success for me.
I've started to look at my work as a reader. If I come across a story I like online or in an anthology, I make a note of the author's name and then Google them. This website is what I would like to find if I were searching for Kristopher Triana after reading one of his short stories.
I'll have a page of links to my work. There is not much yet, but bear with me; I hope it will grow. A selection of some of my work and posts on random thoughts and ideas. I am looking forward to this project, even if my words get lost on the internet.
