Carnage House
One of my stories has found a home at Carnage House. I've been working with Josh Darling, a very encouraging and diligent editor at Carnage House, to rewrite and polish my story Hounded.
I'd also like to thank Josh for putting together a fantastic collection of short stories in issue 3. My story is hanging out with some outstanding company. As soon as the section launched, I read all the published stories. Here are a few of my highlights.
Going to Work - One of the best short stories I have read this year. It twists like a coiling snake. Very good writing. Well done, Rossi.
The Blood - A sapphic horror story in the same vein as Alexis Henderson. Well done, Michael.
Afterbirth - This story hits you like a sucker punch to the stomach. Not for the faint-hearted. But, being the sick puppy I am, I enjoyed it. If in public, you will need to treat Ben's writing like alcoholics treat their booze, hidden in a brown paper bag.
Through the Backdoor - A funny alternative to drinking with disastrous consequences. You will be hard-pushed to dislike the two characters in this story. Maybe have a sick bag to hand for the ending.
Hounded - One of my darlings is now out there seeing the light of day. A massive highlight for me. The story of a man haunted by a dog, but only when he is turned on.
These are just the ones that stood out to me, but they are all good. Well worth a few minutes of your time to explore the dark side of humanity.
